My Fibre Flock
Hebridean Sheep are small black sheep from Scotland originated in St. Kilda and I established my pedigree flock at Hackland in 2020.
Hebridean Sheep have black course wool which often fades to different shades of brown at the tips, others become grey even already at a young age. That variety makes it popular for making durable wet felted or peg loom woven rugs and pads as well as other crafting projects.

To achieve lighter fleece colours through breeding, I introduced “Letham Quizzy”, a cream coloured pedigree Icelandic ram, to our Hebridean flock in 2024. His first offspring born in 2025 immediately showed exciting fleeces with vibrant colours to be incorporated in my crafting.
